The day after Pep had her little girl we took Lachlan and headed to Homer. He had obviously made the trip before because when he got out he looked out and pointed and said in his voice you can't even begin to imagine, "Homer SP-it" The spit was in two syllables very distinctly and mom and I laughed for some time over how he said it. We got out and took some pictures of the view.
The Spit is in the background behind me.
I was interested in this spit which is the largest I believe in the US. A spit I believe is a man made island of sorts. This was the info available there. I laughed and had to take a picture. I have yet to see a "information" board quite like this one. I don't think there was any information.
Lachlan was having fun and we would get up and down form these benches and just sit, I kept trying to get a picture, and incidentally I was taking a picture and he started to cry just as I took the shot. His finger was stuck in the holes in the bench and he was just hanging there very much stuck. Mom and I again got another good chuckle at our skills at watching Lachlan, because if you look at the picture below it is all caught and mom is walking away I am just taking the picture. Of course he was ok, just sort of funny. because he said my figure was ST-uck!
Yep there he is ST-uck pretty good! I didn't know until we were looking at the pictures a few minutes later that I had it, we laughed so hard then!
He loved looking through the looker thing-don't know if he ever really saw anything or not, but he liked it.
Grandma and Lachlan looking again. Actually I think we are trying to get it figured out.
