fish hatchery and Idaho City

There was a fish hatchery right in MCall that I wanted to stop and take the kids through.  When Austin was finished with meetings before we headed out we stopped.  It was cool, a lot of fish.  They were Salmon.  The boys enjoyed it.  We aslo stopped at the museum in MaCall.  The history of MaCall is really about the jobs taht were created during the depression, they had a camp of men doing all kinds of jobs around the area.

Look we finally got him with a smile!  Good job Maestin
After leaving MaCall we took a detore home and went up to Idaho City.  It was a beutiful drive, a little crazy at times with dirt roads, but we had fun.  We read about the minning city learned some interesting things, walked through the town bought ice cream and headed home.  It was a fun day, we love to explore new places and learn new things together as family.  It is actually one of our favorite things to do.

MaCall FB Trip 7-20-11

One of our favorite Farm Beureau trips is the summer one.  This year we spent a few days in MaCall, right on the Lake.  The boys were totally amazed at the room.  We were too a little.  It had two rooms and the lake was right out the back door.  The boys really had a ball! Top picture is Austin and Maestin in the living room area of the room.
Maestin and Addler watching TV.
There was also a ton of other fun things to do.  There was a tennsi cort and basket ball cort.  Here they are in the racket ball cort.  They loved this.  They spent so much time in there just wacking balls. Ruxton, Maestin, Addler.
Holdan really wanted to play with them in the racket ball cort but it was a little dangerouse and after a few bongs on the head we headed out and I found something for him to do as well.  He stacked these block things and crashed them down with volleyballs.  He still had fun.
Holdan and I having fun while the boys played racket-ball.
So here is the beutifull COLD lake.  The boys played there for about 10 seconds!  It really was cold.  And it wasn't like it was really hot up in MaCall either.  The sand ws fun but the water was just too cold.  Maestin and Addler trying to be brave and venture out.
Holdan and Ruxton experiencing the cold.
Holdan, Ruxton playing in the sand, Addler being a goof ball.
Maestin having fits after just dunking himself in the cold.
More attempts...not so successful.  I thought it was funny, they just kept trying they really wanted to make it out to a big water trampoleen out in the lake.

Holdan headed out of the lake to the hot tub!
When they weren't eating, sleeping, or in the racket ball cort this is where we were...swimming!  Maestin and Addler dunking each other, Holdan watching.

Holdan is a complete water bug.  I did not even get in the water the last day and a half he is fearless and goes everywhere.  We even took of the floaties this year, and he was swimming without them a bit.  But he wants to be where the big boys are so he wants the floaties on and off he goes.
I called his name to get a picture and he gave me that glare, he was getting a bit tired at this point.
My water bug, Holdan
There is a family of girls that we are good friends with and they took the three boys out to the trampoleen, they were not even out there 10 minutes.  After the swim out they were freezing.  But they said that it was fun.
Maestin, Ruxton, and Addler jumping.
Addler jumped on this canoe with someone, whom i have no idea who they were, I discovered and hitched a ride back to the beach, smart kid.
This is what you get when you have a three year that has swam non stop for two days.  Were were just about done at this point and he found me on his own and just wanted to lay there.  He was exhausted!  Who knew fun could be so much work?

Our family on the lake. Participating in farm bureau has been great, we have been given opportunities we would never have been able to do.  The boys have been bumbed that this is our last year.  Austin and I finish with our term the end of January.  However, Austin just got voted in as the new Oneida county Farm Bureau President (not so willingly) so we will at least still get to go on the summer trip each year.  We are so excited!

Price cousin sleep over! 7-10-01

Kade and Ashley were in Malad, and before the night was over Gavin was staying the night at our house.  Then Braylee was determined to stay so stay she did, with boy pj's and all.  Cousins are so much fun to have around.
Holdan, Gavin, Braylee, Addler playing games.  I think Gavin thinks I am the game Nazis, because I won't let him play the computer games or the mobe-go when he comes.  I am always handing him a book or a board game!
I still remember staying the night with cousins and all the fun times we had together.  They were my best friends.  I never asked for friends from school over I asked for my cousins.  I am so grateful for a large family, with lots of cousins for my kids to play with.

Summer baseball 7-05-11

The three boys all participated in city baseball agian this summer.  tHis time were had three different teams, which adds up to three different practices, three different games twice a week...really everyday for a month we were doing baseball!!!  I some how ended up Ruxtons coach this year.  It was fun, and I had to be there anyway.  I guess we all have to take our turn to help make it all happen.

This is Ruxton's team the Rockies, and he is getting his trophy and a hug from his mom.  He is a awesome Left-ie.  He can hit the ball hard and catch balls that most six year olds can't.  They asked him to help play on another team a couple of times this year because they didn't have enough to have a game, since we were there all night he was always around to help out.  One game he was up by the pitching machine playing short stop.  The kid at bat whacks the ball line drive right for Ruxton.  He reaches out and snags it.  You should have heard the crowd.  Then he gets up and to bat and whacks one hard.  A mom comes walking over and asks the coach how old that kid was, she didn't know I was there listening. (We actually get this a lot because he is usually a head taller that other kids his age.)  Me and Austin just have to shake our head at our six going on twelve year old.

Addler was on the Braves this year, and he had a great coach Brandon Ward.  He was the younger group on his team this year, but he still did great.  He is a good hitter, and could always be found playing second.  All three boys spent every day in the back yard playing ball, I am so glad they have each other to play with.

Maestin was on The braves this year.  His coach was Kevin Wright.  He was an awesome coach that got Maestin really hitting some good balls this year.  They had the winning-est team in their league.  He played a lot of first base this year and did a great job.  He was picked for the Malad All stars team again this year.  He had a lot of fun playing this year he played with a great group of boys and coaches.  I went to practice one night and was watching and was reminded of the movie Sandlot.  They were a bunch of goofy nine and ten year old boys laughing and having fun playing baseball.  It was a great experience this year.

There they are my baseball players.   Like I said they lived and breathed it most of the summer.  I had a bare spot on my lawn in back where home plate was!

Fourth of July

Austin, Addler, Holdan, Maestin, and Ruxton with Grandma Tubbs behind at the parade in town.

Ruxton and Maestin...the boys got a ton of candy this year.

Holdan

Addler

Ruxton and Holdan trying to carry all the candy he picked up.  He then would walk by another candy and try to pick it up, but dropped another...it was quite a dilemma for the poor kiddo. We had a fun fourth, after the parade we watched the shoot out, had dinner at grandma Price's then went into the play 1776.  Grandma Tubbs was in it and it was really good.  We then of course went in to the fire works.  A fun quiet day spent together as a family.

Holdans Scriptures "grew up" 7-02-11

This is a funny little story about my boy Holdan. We read scriptures every morning and Holdan has his little red scriptures that he uses. He was looking for his scriptures and he ran across his scriptures magically changes they got bigger! I believe he said they grew up. (lower picture of a different book out of same stuff) it was so funny. So after we had read I wanted to take a picture and he posed with the book so well. I think it is funny how he is holding them.
