April fun

April was a super busy fun month.  Aside from having a baby...Dezi had and Pepper was down for a visit, and our life in general is busy in April with cows calves, branding, farming, and moving to spring pasture.  So here are a few fun pictures.

April is the month of b-days in the Price household.  With Pepper here we decided to go to Ogden visit Dexi and the baby, treat ourselves to wonderful pedicures, lunch, and shopping.  It was a great sisters day with lots of needed laughing after lots of stress.  I love hanging with the sisters and mom always always a good time.

On my birthday we were branding in Strevell, as usual.  I took out lunch to the gang and stayed the rest of the afternoon.  We got back, and my mommy and sister pepper made a wonderful dinner and my favorite strawberry short cake.  Austin was off the hook again, saved by my mom.  Thanks it was a great b-day.
One night I was lucky enough to have three of the 3 turning 4 year olds.  They played and had tons of fun.  Here they are putting together puzzles.  A funny story about these three that night;
It was dinner time and I told them to go wash up, all three headed into the bathroom to wash.  A minute later Lachlan came wondering out looking like he need to pee, so he goes running to the bathroom to go.  Thinking of Braylie being the lonely girl in the house i ran after him telling him to just wait a minute.  i walked into the bathroom and there is Holdan washing his hands, and Braylie sitting on the pot, with Lachlan close behind me.  I quickly gathered the boys out the door with a smile on my face thinking poor Braylie, and trying not to panicke.

Taggert's Blessing

We blessed our Taggert V. on April 29, 2012.  It was a beautiful day with lots of love and support from family and friends.  The spirit was so strong all morning throughout church with many beautiful testimonies born a wonderful blessing and a yummy meal and lots of laughter and love after.
Austin once again did an amazing job.  As I said, the spirit was tangible all morning leading up to the blessing and Austin was a bit emotional through out the day.  It showed in his blessing.  I have the blessing recorded in my journal but I will share one thing here that I just love about he blessing.  I had been a bit concerned with Taggert and hoping that he was not having any residual effects from the jaundice that he had.  I had not shared a lot of this concern to Austin, however, in the blessing he blessed him with a strong mind and a desire for increased knowledge through out his life.  How amazing that was.  Austin did such a amazing job of listening to the spirit and gave Taggert a blessing that I know he will read through out his life and find strength and direction.
I have a great family that is so supportive.  All of my siblings were able to be there.  We were so lucky and blessed to have Pepper and her two cuties down for the blessing it was so wonderful to have her there for the blessing.  Dezi also sacrificed a lot to come up for a few hours to be apart of it all.  She left a little sick baby that had just turned a huge corner in getting better and a family and husband to come to the blessing.  The support of all those that came was noticed and appreciated.
The favorite Uncle Bowdrie...he would never miss a free meal!

It was a wonderful day.  Getting Taggert a blessing outfit was a bit of a story, I didn't find one.  So, that morning we decided to take a little from all the boys' baby blessing outfits and put it together for Taggert's.  They all thought it was great and it was.  We all love this little boy and it showed on this wonderful day.

Branding Time

Branding around the Tubbs household comes around every year whether your ready or not.  We were not ready this year, or should I say I was not ready.  I was either pregnant or had a little baby a bit sooner than planned.  However, the work must go on.  Our boys are such good help, they worked hard not only for us they spent the day branding calves for Uncle Matt too.  Everything of course got achieved without me...sometimes I wondered how.  And I am a bit sad that my jobs are being taken over and I have no excuse now for not being in the house cooking the meal or cleaning the house, Yuck!  I would much rather be on the horse.
Maestin, Addler, and Ruxton went out by themselves with Uncle Matt and Aunt Deneice to help.  They love to help them because they rope and band on the ground they think it is great.  This is a picture of Ruxton after he got home, he walked in laid right there on the floor and didn't move for a couple of hours!  Fun is hard work, and they did work really hard they just didn't know it.

Branding in Stravell.  We enlisted some extra help, and I came out with lunch later and Taggert and I hung out the rest of the day.

I hope that we can always have a good time together as a family branding calves and I hope that there will be memories for years to tell.  It is always tiring and we are all done by the end of the day, but it feels good to work hard together as a family.  This year Grandma and Grandpa Price spent a long day at our house branding, and Grandma Tubbs helped with lunch at Strevlle and spent the day.  We love the Grandparents.

Easter

Easter was special in our home this year with a new baby, as well as, things just crazy in the Price family.  Dezi and Trevor had their baby boy as well a little too early.  So their kiddos were around and Shancy's kids came for the weekend.  Along with Tubbs kids and Price kids life was fun and crazy, but special.  We spent the day before the Easter egg hunt coloring eggs.  It is so nice having kids old enough that they do it almost entirely on their own.  They had  a lot of fun.  Then we went in for the Malad Easter Egg hunt.  And topped it off Sunday with a quiet dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Price's with Bowdrie and Kade and Ashley came for a bit.

My boys showing off their new Easter shirts...work shirts and sun glasses.  Holdan didn't get a shirt like the others and I knew I was going to be in trouble for it.  So, Easter morning arrives and I am laying in bed listening to the joys of Easter and I hear what I had been waiting for..."Where is my cowboy shirt?"  He survived it.  Really the boys loves these shirts and they wear them a lot!

My number five little man

Tagger V. Tubbs just could not wait any longer to join the craziness of four boys any longer.  He decided to come early then wait for ever to make an appearance on April 1 at 12:46 am.  He weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.  Around the Tubbs household he is the best, most perfect baby boy to ever grace the earth.  I really don't think there is another little boy more perfectly loved than our little Taggert.  The spirit is so strong each day, and even stronger when he opens his eyes.  I will share more thoughts that I have had the last few days, but one thought that needs to be expressed, Austin had this thought come to his mind as he was pondering all that had happened to us, and this is what he shared with me.  The lord told him basically be calm I am in charge, and he was.   We are grateful for the hidden blessing that our four long days brought to our life.

Austin looks a bit tired but he is recovering right along with me and he looks much better each day.  Thank you my love, you are amazing.  You are such a great support and strength to me.  He makes Taggert look so small.

Maestin is taking the responsibility of the oldest very seriously and is taking care of everyone and everything.  He has just been an amazing young man to have in the home.

If Taggert appears a little yellow in some pictures it is because he is.  I have him laying in the sun so that we can get rid of a bit of jaundice.

The big brothers love to help with bath time and hate if he cries even a little they are right there talking and giving him the binky, Maestin wanted to take a bunch of pictures.  And Austin requested I get a picture of his little legs.  Austin feels like he is just going to brake them.

Holdan has grown a ton in just three days.  He has not had a bad day, and loves his little Taggert so much.  He is moms big helper and loves to get a blanket for me whenever I need one.  He also takes care of what he calls diaper balls.  Each morning he goes into my room and gathers up the nightly diapers and throws them away without me asking him.  He has been such a big boy I am so proud of him.

My little man...who knew that my heart had room for so much love for five amazing boys, and one amazing man.  My heart has been so full I don't even know how to express it all.
