Tubbs cousins...BOYS!

Walt and Brenda's' boys came for an extended stay in July. It was a much anticipated event in our house to have Josh and Caleb come and stay. They had plans and games all planned out. Grandma and I decided to stick together on the week that they came up to Malad. Last year it was little crazy having six boys together with out a lot to do and more adults around to help.!

We planned a couple of days out to the canyon, and Dale had a list of jobs to be done for the boys to keep them busy. They loved being in the canyon the first time so we had to take them back out again before they left. The fist time we went out there they helped haul firewood. Itwas amazing how fast the truck got loaded. After Dale and Austin saw how fast that happened they were just looking for jobs that 6 boys could accomplish in a hurry. Although by the end of the day the boys weren't as enthusiastic. They spent one day at our house ridding horses and loved it. Then we went back out to the canyon so they could return and spend the day in their fort. They discovered and continued a fort that their dads played in. They thought it was so cool to find some stuff that was there from other kids, most likely their dads. It was a lot of fun having them here. The boys were sad to see them go.

Josh loved riding, as you can see I am not sure he let anyone else ride. He did, but he rode more than anyone he would talk Maestin into going out helping him on Duster then Maestin would get on Bronco and out they would go to ride.

Where Masetin and Josh are standing was their little spot. Notice the ladder, Grandpa asked where they got the ladder-Josh had helped himself to the ladder clear up to the barn, they were in a big tree in the corrals above the house then down on the creek, for those of you who don't know that is a long way! Grandpa didn't say much about him taking it, I guess he figured he had enough punishment packing it all that way.

Caleb and Ruxton-these two packed a lot of food and water all day for Josh and Maestin back and fourth from the house back to the fort- Josh called them the messengers, (Josh was the"King". I believe they even brought toilet paper back to the fort so Josh didn't have to walk back and fourth! I think they were just happy that they got to be a part of the fort!

It was really a lot of fun. It was fun to see them just take off and explore the canyon-wish they could do it more often with all of the family around to visit while they explore for hours. Hope to see you ALL next year!

Post Falls

On July 19-24 we went up to Post Falls Idaho. Austin had Farm Bureau board meetings, they make this one each summer fun for the family so we all went it was a lot of fun. The first night we drove to Montana. There was a hotel there that had two huge in door slides, we were told to stay there and we are glad we did, the boys had a blast. I didn't get any pictures. The next day we drove the rest of the way to Post Falls and stayed there the week. The kids and I well, we did a lot of swimming and more swimming oh and more swimming. When they weren't sleeping or eating they were swimming either in the swimming pool or in the Lake. Our hotel was right on the lake. It was beautiful and a fun trip to take together. On the way home we decided to stay another night and hit some historic sights. We went to the battle of big hole, and walked the battle field and went through the museum.

This is the swimming pool in the hotel. Holdan was a crazy man he would run from the hot tub to the swimming pool and just jump in hilter- kilter. Maestin and I had a system, he would stay in the pool and I in the hot tub, and yell to each other here he comes!

These are picture of the Battle of Big hole. This was a massacre on the Navajo Indians that Chief Joseph was with. The army, under a mistaken shot, fired into tee pees of women and children killing nearly everyone!

Austin had a long week he was very sick with a nasty virus and not feeling too hot!

Holdan found some treasures to bring home, a leaf he put it in his pocket and wanted me to take a picture.

Never a boring day with Ruxton

I Actually have a page in my journal just for funny things that Ruxton says. Each day is a new adventure with him. The things that come out of his mouth are at times funny, appalling, and and very profound. So thus, this blog, a story from the mouth of Ruxton.

This kid plays hard, he was looking at a book and this is how I found him when I walked in to tuck him and tell him good night, this is how he feel asleep, I thought it was funny.

A few weeks ago and as you will see in a future post, Josh and Caleb came down for a visit. So ,grandma and grandpa took us and Caleb and Josh out to the canyon for a day of fun. After a fourwheeler ride with Ruxton and Caleb, Grandpa came back with a smile on his face with a story to tell me. They were following a cow and the following conversation occurred,

Caleb: " Yuck that cow is pooping that is gross."

Ruxton: "No it isn't, cows are lucky."

Caleb: "How come?"

Ruxton: "Well cows are lucky they get to eat where ever they want, we have to eat at a table, and they get to poop where ever they want we have to go poop in the toilet."

Now this statement is very profound coming from Ruxton, if any of you can remember how that child was to potty train, he used to be about like a cow! I love my Ruxton!

Family reunion continued

The first full day there we packed up for the day and went to the Lake. It was fun! We played water baseball and it was a wet blast. Shancy even came home with some sports injury. I have to say the in-laws were up for fun and we did have a good time. The kids always have a ball playing in the sand and water.

Shancy having a fit because she was losing in Go Fish to her Five year old nephew. She actually asked in the midst of the game, "Maysi do I have to give him all of the card he ask for or can I give him just one?!" She was serious, sorry Zane you might never win a game with your mom!! Shancy is always willing to play a game with her nephews. Thanks!

Thank you mom and dad for putting the reunion together, it was fun and well worth all our time to come and spend time with each other, it is important and I hope that we will all continue the tradition!

Price Family Reunion July 2-3

We had our immediate Price Family Reunion the fourth of July weekend. I love getting together with my brothers and sisters, and their families. It is always a lot of fun. WE always go to Bear Lake and camp on the Lake. This year we camped up a canyon in Paris. It was a lot fun fun to be up there. WE hiked and explored. The day we went home we went up to an ice cave with Pepper and Shayne and Kade and Ashley and Mom and Dad. My boys loved it. And Braylee was mad because she couldn't climb more. Mom was a nervous wreck the entire time we were there worried that her grand kids were going to fall down in to the cave. It was a big hole. These are pictures of the last day we were there. More pictures on the next blog. I know a lot of pictures but I love reunions and so I couldn't not post all of them.
