Addler B-day

Addler turned eight, and I can't believe it.  He has been so much fun to have around these short years.  Addler loves to be doing something all the time.  He loves to be outside in his dads world or in his world that he has created that is just like his dads but his.  He knows what is going on around the farm at all times and can be counted on to know how or what needs to be done.  That being said, he is such a great helper in the house for me as well.  He is really good with Holdan and is a great help there too.  He is very smart, and is reading and starting to enjoy it.  Being in the shadow of Maestin at times others do not see how smart and thoughtful he his, because he is quieter about it.  He always wants to being doing what is right and Ruxton keeps him on his toes making sure Ruxton is not doing something he shouldn't.  He has a strong testimony, and is close to the spirit, if we just take the time to be patient and listen to him it is amazing what is in his little head.  Addler is loads of fun and likes to be silly, but his brothers get a kick out of him.  Thank you Addler Glen for eight great years, and I can't wait to see what eight more bring!  We love you.

Addler had a friend over to play during the day with a hot dog roast, Addler's favorites, then we had his favorite meal that night with cake and ice cream.

Addler loves bugs of any kind so he was pretty excited to get a magnifying glass to check them out up close.
He loves his western shirts!
He was really into dinosaurs this year so he got a floor puzzle of dinosaurs.

So excited to get a new fishing pool!

Grandpa and Grandma Price gave Addler a saddle bag along with a roping bag.

And he wanted a fudge cake so Grandma Price of course got creative, he loved it.  Thanks Grandma

Love of My Life

I love this picture of  my best friend and I.  I am glad that we took a moment in all the craziness that day to have Kade get a picture of us.  Austin is the love of my life and my best friend.  I know I can speak for the both of us when I say our favorite time of the day is the evenings that we spend talking and just hanging out!  We can just talk for hours, and have fun.  I love him so much.  He is an amazing husband that does so much for me and our family.  Our relationship is special in more ways than one, and we know the Lord had a hand in our being together.  As the years continue I can see the blessing of the Lords hand then and am so grateful that he continues to bless us in our relationship as it grows stronger and stronger each day.  May we continue to live worthy of those blessing, and continue to grow our relationship.

Family Pictures

The Price clan was altogether for a fun reunion get together so we took pictures.  Kade, Pepper, and Dezi all have cameras that we can use so we did.  Here is the wild clan.

4-H Auction

Because Maestin was third in quality his pig was sold third witch it good.  He did well this year he sold  well this year.  He had a good pig, he worked hard and it is good for him to get results at the end.  I am proud of him.  He also competed in the demonstrations and won his class, he presented hoof care for horses.  We were kind of procrastinating this a little bit.  I found the info and told him to read it.  He had it all memorized in just a hour or so. I helped him with an outline on some note cards, and he did awesome.  He memorized the parts of the hoof as well as good hoof care.  Austin and I were both really impressed how well he did.  He won ten bucks, so now it was worth it and he is ready to do it again, it is not even hard for him.  Good job this year bud, you did great and worked hard for it all!

Little Buckaroo rodeo

The Buckaroo Rodeo is a staple of the fair for our family.  Maestin did it too, I love to see my little cowboys go out and just have fun in their own little rodeo.  The anticipation for it all week, is evident in their practicing the events.  This year it was only Ruxton and Holdan.  Cousin Zaner made the trip over, however, he entertained the crowd in other ways than participating in the events.  He was not happy about it.  He wanted to then didn't...and he didn't!

Zane not doing the events!

Holdan trying to talk Zane into trying it.
Ruxton won one of the events and the junior queens presented the awards, doesn't he look happy to be surround by pretty girls...do you think it will stay that way?
Holdan also won an event and won a hat, Ruxton I believe is trying not to smile while showing off his buckle.  My two little cowboys were champions this day... always my champions!

Fair...showing the pig

Thursday was the day that Maestin showed his pig, "Q" for Bar-B-Q.  There are many more pictures because, Austin does most of the work this day, I get to watch and not worry about a whole lot.  It is so nice.  Maestin thanks to hard work on part of himself, but also his brothers and father did really well.  "Q" was very well behaved, do to lots of hours walking, and hours of the boys in his pen, therefore he was very tame and calm throughout the whole show.  He won the showman ship in his class, then they come back in with everyone and he was reserve champion in showmanship.  Then in quality he almost won reserve there too, but ended up third which isn't too bad.  Maestin takes it very seriously but can keep his cool, and he ws a good little showman, the judge liked his confidence.  Good job Maestin.  After the week was over he won 19 dollars for all his ribbons...not too shabby.

Maestin showing "Q"

Austin doing such a good job.  This is actually a picture of the news lady waiting to get a picture, "Q" was the only pig there that would just go where you wanted him to, so they let him wait out there, usually they don't do that.

4-H rodeo

This year the fair had a 4-H type rodeo with different than usual events, my boys were way excited. Each event was just a dollar.  The first event was the key hole race, they had to run down to a circle painted white on the ground go in it and turn around and run out.  Ruxton was the first he did it on Zan.  Zan was a little unsure of the white on the ground and he got away from Ruxton a little bit.  It spooked him and Addler pretty good.  The next event was a partner race where one on horse goes down and picks up the other on a barrel.  Ruxton was going to do it, was still a little scared but that kid has courage.  He was really scared but did it anyway.  Maestin ran down picked up Ruxton and was a good brother back and took it easy.  They all ended up happy in the barrels where they did great.  Maestin did all the events and had a lot of fun.  His high light was the ribbon race where you have a partner and hold onto a ribbon and run down around a barrel and back up without dropping your ribbon or ripping it.  Him and Cody weeks both had little pinto horses and they tore it up.  Maestin even did a whop and and holler, they won that event.  Maestin and Bronco had a fun night! It really was a fun evening with them all.
