"Our" T3ranch

It is a good feeling to walk out your door and see this knowing that it belongs to you.  We work hard and some days we wonder why we do it, but it is the slow moments when we take the time to look around at all we have and our blessings that we can be grateful for what we have and what we do.  We wouldn't trade our lifestyle for anything!  It raises good boys that know how to work and how to work through hard things.  They love be outside and can always find something to do.  It really is beautiful!

Yearly Trip to Yellowstone

We like to try and make a trip to Yellowstone every fall to listen to the elk bugle.  This is our second year, and it was very eventful!  We saw a lot of elk, heard elk, saw bear and had so much fun together.  The night before we drove to Rexburg and stayed the night in a hotel and had Uncle Bowdrie come go swimming with the boys.  They had a lot fun doing that as well.

Love my family!

We had seen some bull but hadn't heard a lot. On our way out we stopped at these hot springs and there was a royal!  It was awesome, and then around the corner there was two or three bull elk there fighting!

I love my boys!

While we were watching the elk fight, someone told us about a bear back up the road so we hopped in and got to catch a sight of a black grizzly!  We ended the day on a good high.

Ruxton and Holdan

Ruxton and Holdan have been spending more and more time together, and enjoy their time together.  Ruxton is such a fun big brother and one tough cowboy.  This beautiful fall day I looked out the door and found these two crouched down together checking out something, probably a bug.  I thought it was too cute of a picture of brothers spending time together to not stop for a minuet and get a picture and watch them.

I began to show the boys how to use the camera to take pictures for school reports and activities, and they, more like Ruxton, have taken this to a new level.  Ruxton loves to take off with the camera and take pictures.  Once in a while I get some good ones.
Her is one instance where the picture is worth keeping, moments like this make me grateful for our lifestyle, they make thought stopping pictures.

Taggert 5 Months...Eating big boy food

Well our sweet boy is growing up too fast for mommy but not fast enough for himself!  I believe he is going to give us a run for our money.  I was not ready to start in with the feeding, but he was ready!  He is trying out big boy food for the first time, and well if his size is any indicator of weather or not he loved it...he loved it!  What a cute boy and so special to our family.
Giving mommy smiles!  He doesn't give them out too freely with just anyone, he keeps them inside and only gives them out when he has figured it all out.  A little bit like his daddy.

Nothing more precious than a sleeping baby.  I love stopping my day, to put him to sleep!  I get to stop and just love on him and cuddle until his body stops his busy little mind and he falls into sleep!

Food on the face is a tell tell sign of his new love for big boy food!

State Fair Maestin

So this year for our fair, Maestin's guilt did not make weight, which meant he could not sale her.  Because of this we decided to give the State Fair a shot.  Maestin did really good.  He ended up in the last four for the showmanship.  He had to show in his class and took second.  And then come back in for the grand champion and was third.  His pig was tired and just stopped working very good for him.  There were a lot of pigs, and it was a huge learning experience for us all.   We liked the time at the fair and the kids did as well.  It was fun to be there for a real purpose and to watch the other animals showing.  He didn't quite make it in the top 21 for the quality and therefore qualify for the sale.  But Maestin did and excellent job of showing and had fun.  We will be back.

Maestin showing, he had to walk her around and open and place her in a specific pen.  He did it very well.

Maestin after he placed her in her pen.

Down to the last few.  Only boy left.

Taggert was a trooper throughout the whole week.  The life of the youngest is a life of going.

The boys and by that it usaully means Ruxton have figured out the camera.  One day I was looking at the pictures and found a number of them that they had taken of them playing around.  They are not all worth keeping but these are worth keeping.
